In the early days of the town there were a number of
speakeasies and bars. Many of the speakeasies, popular during the
period of Prohibition, were operated from a family's home.
Some town residents
remember their fathers, relatives, or neighbors concocting homemade liquor. This is a current photo of a McIntyre town bar.
