Miner's Lunch Bucket

Since mining was such a strenuous job, a hearty meal was very important to the miners. Leftovers from the previous night's dinner often went into the lunch pail. During the heyday of coal mining, miners worked different shifts around the clock. Instead of eating lunch, some would be eating dinner or even breakfast from the  buckets prepared by their wives.
