Biography of Samuel C. Henderson, Early Settler in Young Township

Like many of the 19th-century settlers in Young Township, Henderson's family was from the British Isles. Other early settlers of the area that would become Young Township include: John Elder, Hugh Niel, Mary Gilmour, John and Robert Robinson, James McKisson, and Andrew Cunningham. Families having the following surnames also settled there: Smith, Lowman, Hutchinson, Harbison, McCombs, and Millens.
