Hunter with Shotgun and Dog

Hunting was done primarily to provide food for the family. Wild game, such as turkey and rabbit, were prepared by the housewife and eaten by the family. In this photo from the early 1940s, a McIntyre resident poses with his hunting dog and shotgun. In the background are mine rail tracks.
