Ethnic Fraternal Organization
Some McIntyre residents
remember either a Slovak or Polish Fraternal Organization in town. Mutual aid
fraternal organizations,
such as this one, provided fellowship among males of the same nationality.
For a small yearly fee, the organization also provided the cost of a burial for a
member or his family and
offered other welfare benefits.
This photo, from the 1930s, is either from McIntyre or a neighboring town.
