United Mine Workers of America Placard, 1938

This may have been either a decal or a placard to display in the home for the purpose of showing and promoting unity.  McIntyre miners were members of District 2, Local 3548, of the United Mine Workers of America. John L. Lewis, whose image appears as the central figure was revered by the miners. He was president of the United Mine Workers Union from 1920 to 1960.
