Exterior of McIntyre Union Hall
McIntyre
miners belonged to District 2, Local 3548 of the United Mine Workers of America.
In addition to serving as a meeting house for union meetings, the building was
used for dances, dinners, and other activities. The building was located on
the main thoroughfare of the town in proximity to the company store, post-office,
and several businesses, as well as homes. This photo is from the early
1950s.
